The Denim Spell

Hello everyone!

You may have seen A's post last week, and now it is my turn to show you guys how I would wear the denim jacket. There is something about the denim jacket that is quite spellbinding. It exhibits such simplistic nature, but it adds such complexity into an outfit. And if you are feeling rather lazy to pick an outfit, a denim jacket could fix the problem.

The denim jacket that I am wearing is from GAP, and it is in size Small. I would probably say it is my favourite denim jacket because of its shade; it is not too light and not too dark, just in between. Hence, it is more versatile as a jacket, as the colour tone can fit into more outfits.

When it comes to the denim jacket, I tend to wear either black, off-white or beige skinny chinos with it. Personally, I feel like these three colours fit well with it. Although, I do think wearing a denim jeans might work as well, but I'd rather avoid it. Here, I'm wearing my skinny black coloured chinos from ASOS.

I have also decided to combine my pastel blue shirt from Burton and white sweater from River Island.

The white coloured sweater just helps to radiate the denim jacket, and ultimately helps it to pop out. It would have given a different effect, if I was wearing a black sweater instead. And also, the pastel blue shirts complements the white sweater. Thus, giving some sort of synchronisation.

Boots and Denim jackets just go hand in hand with one another.

Boots, in general, are much more convenient when compared to other shoes during Winter or rainy seasons, as it is much more robust and durable. I have also decided to wear my brown leather Timberland boots for this outfit because it helps to complement the black chinos. As it adds such exuberance and glow to the outfit as a whole.

You can also add a beanie for a head accessory, just to give it a bit more edge.

So, this is how I would style an outfit with a denim jacket. I hope you guys like this post and I would love to see how you would style your favourite denim pieces! Comment below, don't be shy!

Next outfit will be very interesting. Both, A and I will be wearing colours that are both timeless and classic, but at the same time, chic.

Hint: Monochrome

Stay tune for next week, A will be first to show you guys her outfit.  Thank you so much for reading and I'll see you on my next post. Until then, have a good weekend and holiday everyone!

Hello! Welcome to Wearrior Instinct. I'm Ainul! My style is described best as 'mix and match'. Fashion, to me, is a form of self expression. I dress for myself and I love exploring new and different ways to do it. I believe strongly that we all have the potential to be the best we can be; all we have to do is to follow our (Wearrior) Instinct.

Hey! I'm Mu'izz. I'm currently taking my masters degree in Political Science at UCL. I would probably say that my fashion style is best described as "Good-boy Oxford look" and I love colours. Although, I am preppy for most of the time, I do also like to mix elements from other fashion style. Right now, I am exploring more of the urban style. For me, Fashion is a platform that expresses and embraces one's individuality. Hopefully, it will inspire you to wear your (Wearrior) instinct! – I am on a research leave at the moment, I will be back soon!

Hi! I’m Alia Alkaff, a 20-year-old Graphic Design undergraduate at Norwich University of the Arts. Black enthusiast and a lover of all things minimalistic, which also happens to best describe my style of Fashion. With being a part of Wearrior Instinct it has encouraged me greatly to be proud of what I wear and I hope we as a team will have that effect to bring out your inner Wearrior Instinct!

My name is Faiz, but most people call me Fez. I studied at the the University of Leeds and graduated in 2015. I currently run a pop-up based coffee business called Aoyama Coffee. My interests in fashion lie more in on streetwear - and bridging the gap between it and menswear. I'm a fan of the little things in labels that set them apart from others, and my taste is a little unconventional, to say the least. I'm also really into raw denim. I should mention that I'm on hiatus at the moment - but I will be back!

Oh hi there! I run a YouTube channel called AMSAIMA, where I create beauty and styling vlogs. I like to think of my fashion sense as multifaceted - I could dress to the nines with textured garments, look quirky while donning a pair of boyfriend jeans, or go for an alternative retro. Wearrior Instinct doesn’t just provide a space for me to document my looks and write about the pieces I’ve put together, but as I’m all about body positivity, I see this as an opportunity where confidence can be both built and encouraged. Lots of love, Amalsaima (or simply, Amal).
