B&W Winter Look By M

Hello everyone!

First of all, can you guys believe that it's already 2015!? I personally can't. But I hope you guys had a great time celebrating new years. Everything has been quite unusual back in Sheffield. It snowed quite heavily, which I am quite glad, because it gave me the opportunity to wear my snow outfit. Thus, I will be posting again next time for a bonus post, which will feature my snow gear.

Secondly, I have a confession to make. I have not worn anything black since I was fifteen, so this was the first time since forever that I had one. Therefore, my friends were quite shocked that I wore something black. Now, I can see that black is the most versatile colour as it can fit in with any other colour. At the same time, it is hard to get the material dirty, thus you can easily go out without having to worry about it getting stained. (I would also say, even if the material gets dirty, it is hard to see with our naked eyes!)

Here is a photo featuring A!

If you guys have missed her post, feel free to check it out.

For this photo shoot, I have chosen more black piece of clothing more than white, specifically because I wanted to go for a darker look. I got my first ever black sweater from New Look through ASOS. Upon seeing it, I fell in love with it because of the grey coloured shoulder patch. As it is a monochromatic outfit, I wore my white shirt from ASOS, to give a contrasting effect, and actually to make it more preppy. For black sweaters, you don't need to buy a really expensive one because the colour is basically ubiquitous for almost all brands. This particular New Look sweater is very comfortable to wear and it's not too thin or too thick; just right.

As for the bottom part of the outfit, I have chosen a simple black coloured chinos to go with the whole outfit. It's the same chinos from the denim jacket outfit. I have bought it from ASOS, as well. I went with my brown-leathered Timberland boots to complete the outfit because it gives such an effect, when combining it with black chinos. I personally would find that black boots would go really well with it.

Overall, this outfit is very straightforward. Consequently, the post is sadly quite short. All the materials are quite easy to put together as well.

Every single photo has been photographed by the amazing Haziq Ghafar. You guys can check him out, through his blog, instagram and watch his hilarious youtube videos!

So that's a wrap for my B&W winter look. I hope you guys find the post quite enjoying, despite it being short and just really simple. Lastly, I hope to see you guys for my next bonus post!

Hello! Welcome to Wearrior Instinct. I'm Ainul! My style is described best as 'mix and match'. Fashion, to me, is a form of self expression. I dress for myself and I love exploring new and different ways to do it. I believe strongly that we all have the potential to be the best we can be; all we have to do is to follow our (Wearrior) Instinct.

Hey! I'm Mu'izz. I'm currently taking my masters degree in Political Science at UCL. I would probably say that my fashion style is best described as "Good-boy Oxford look" and I love colours. Although, I am preppy for most of the time, I do also like to mix elements from other fashion style. Right now, I am exploring more of the urban style. For me, Fashion is a platform that expresses and embraces one's individuality. Hopefully, it will inspire you to wear your (Wearrior) instinct! – I am on a research leave at the moment, I will be back soon!

Hi! I’m Alia Alkaff, a 20-year-old Graphic Design undergraduate at Norwich University of the Arts. Black enthusiast and a lover of all things minimalistic, which also happens to best describe my style of Fashion. With being a part of Wearrior Instinct it has encouraged me greatly to be proud of what I wear and I hope we as a team will have that effect to bring out your inner Wearrior Instinct!

My name is Faiz, but most people call me Fez. I studied at the the University of Leeds and graduated in 2015. I currently run a pop-up based coffee business called Aoyama Coffee. My interests in fashion lie more in on streetwear - and bridging the gap between it and menswear. I'm a fan of the little things in labels that set them apart from others, and my taste is a little unconventional, to say the least. I'm also really into raw denim. I should mention that I'm on hiatus at the moment - but I will be back!

Oh hi there! I run a YouTube channel called AMSAIMA, where I create beauty and styling vlogs. I like to think of my fashion sense as multifaceted - I could dress to the nines with textured garments, look quirky while donning a pair of boyfriend jeans, or go for an alternative retro. Wearrior Instinct doesn’t just provide a space for me to document my looks and write about the pieces I’ve put together, but as I’m all about body positivity, I see this as an opportunity where confidence can be both built and encouraged. Lots of love, Amalsaima (or simply, Amal).
