Cardigan - Supreme SS15 Waffle Cardigan

Hey everyone, I'm back with another post. Sorry it took so long, I've been really preoccupied and pretty much just busy with life in general, and was meant to get this post done last weekend, whoops.

I guess you could say I'm in a strange transition phase at the moment - my university degree days are ending, all that. I guess I don't really know how else to put it, but, yeah, strange times I guess. In any case for this post I'll be showcasing a few of my favourite pieces of clothing that I own, outlined with what is probably my favorite colour - burgundy.

When Supreme's SS15 Lookbook and preview were released, this cardigan was one of the things that really caught my eye. It released in three different colours - burgundy, navy and beige/cream, which were all just as nice I suppose but I knew I wanted the one in burgundy. It sold out in less than a minute, too, once it released, and it's been praised for being a really quality item that was released from Supreme in general. I don't particularly own a lot of cardigans, but I'm really glad I got this one. The perfect contribution towards the cool grandad vibe.

Jeans - APC Petit New Standard from FW13

I got these jeans awhile back, as a birthday present while I was still in my second year at university. I've read around through a few denim forums here and there, and this was back when my interest in denim was beginning, so I didn't know much. Back then I mostly wore skinny jeans, and when I tried these out I wasn't sure if I was really able to pull these off. I actually had these stashed in my closet for months and only picked them out to wear more recently over the past few weeks. I was surprised at how much better they fit me. I guess my style had changed a bit since then. In any case, I stopped wearing skinny jeans, too.

Shoes - Bodega x Saucony Elita 'Polka Dot' Pack

Bodega is a Boston-based brand that I've been following for a few years now. I'm always really interested in their sneaker collaborations that they continually have with brands like New Balance and Asics, though the hype always becomes really crazy and it gets really competitive. I really like the colourway on these though, the contrast between the green and pink is really nice in opinion. These are also my first pair of Saucony shoes, and I'm really impressed with the comfort they provide. The downside of them though was when they arrived I couldn't help but notice the amount of gluemarks from production. But I'm not too fussy about the small issues like that, I guess it's only normal in the end.

T - Shirt - H&M Basic Cotton tee

I wear a lot of basic plain cotton tees and have some from a few different brands. There's nothing really special about the ones that come from H&M, but I don't mean that in a bad way - there's nothing wrong with them either. You can't really go wrong with a plain colour cotton t shirt. Neutral colours are also timeless, I believe. In regards to quality, I've had this one for about a year now and it's still holding up fine.

Alright, that is all from me for now, see y'all again soonish!

Wearrior Biographies

Hello! Welcome to Wearrior Instinct. I'm Ainul! My style is described best as 'mix and match'. Fashion, to me, is a form of self expression. I dress for myself and I love exploring new and different ways to do it. I believe strongly that we all have the potential to be the best we can be; all we have to do is to follow our (Wearrior) Instinct.

Hey! I'm Mu'izz. I'm currently taking my masters degree in Political Science at UCL. I would probably say that my fashion style is best described as "Good-boy Oxford look" and I love colours. Although, I am preppy for most of the time, I do also like to mix elements from other fashion style. Right now, I am exploring more of the urban style. For me, Fashion is a platform that expresses and embraces one's individuality. Hopefully, it will inspire you to wear your (Wearrior) instinct! – I am on a research leave at the moment, I will be back soon!

Hi! I’m Alia Alkaff, a 20-year-old Graphic Design undergraduate at Norwich University of the Arts. Black enthusiast and a lover of all things minimalistic, which also happens to best describe my style of Fashion. With being a part of Wearrior Instinct it has encouraged me greatly to be proud of what I wear and I hope we as a team will have that effect to bring out your inner Wearrior Instinct!

My name is Faiz, but most people call me Fez. I studied at the the University of Leeds and graduated in 2015. I currently run a pop-up based coffee business called Aoyama Coffee. My interests in fashion lie more in on streetwear - and bridging the gap between it and menswear. I'm a fan of the little things in labels that set them apart from others, and my taste is a little unconventional, to say the least. I'm also really into raw denim. I should mention that I'm on hiatus at the moment - but I will be back!

Oh hi there! I run a YouTube channel called AMSAIMA, where I create beauty and styling vlogs. I like to think of my fashion sense as multifaceted - I could dress to the nines with textured garments, look quirky while donning a pair of boyfriend jeans, or go for an alternative retro. Wearrior Instinct doesn’t just provide a space for me to document my looks and write about the pieces I’ve put together, but as I’m all about body positivity, I see this as an opportunity where confidence can be both built and encouraged. Lots of love, Amalsaima (or simply, Amal).
